If you would like to meet with an attorney, call the MNLRIS at (612) 254-6826 on Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM. A referral counselor will review your legal issue, obtain important information, conduct a conflict check and set an appointment with a qualified attorney at a convenient time and location. Often, appointments can be scheduled for the next day.
Alternatively, MNLRIS also provides an online self-referral service that is available 24/7. Based on the information provided, self-referral users will be instantly provided with the name and contact information of a vetted attorney who practices in the appropriate area of law. It will be your responsibility to contact the attorney to set up the initial consultation; however, by using the service, you are giving the attorney permission to contact you.
MNLRIS charges a $30 administrative fee to maintain this service for the public. This fee is waived in cases of Personal Injury, Product Liability, Medical or Legal Malpractice, Social Security Disability, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Workers’ Compensation.
There is no additional charge by the attorney for the initial consultation. Following the consultation, if you choose to hire the attorney, all fees are negotiated between you and the attorney.
